UP PROMETHEANS – GOLF
Franchise Team | 72 The League
UP Prometheans is a franchise team in 72 The League, India’s first city-based professional golf league.
72 The League is founded by Amit Kharbanda and Samant Sikka, in association with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) — the official body governing professional golf in India.
The league operates under the leadership of Kapil Dev, President, PGTI, bringing credibility, structure, and global sporting insight to Indian golf.
Shooting League of India is governed by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI)
Mr. Kalikesh Singh Deo, President, NRAI
Mr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Secretary General, NRAI
The league aims to bring shooting into mainstream sporting consciousness while preparing athletes for sustained international success, including the Olympics.
Why Golf
Golf is a sport of precision, patience, and long-term mastery. It rewards discipline, strategy, and mental resilience — qualities that define elite athletes.
Despite its global stature, access to competitive pathways in golf has traditionally been limited. 72 The League changes this by providing a professional platform where emerging golfers can gain visibility, compete regularly, and build sustainable careers.
UP Prometheans is proud to support this transformation.
Olympic Vision (Golf)
Golf’s return to the Olympics has opened new opportunities for Indian athletes. UP Prometheans views golf as a sport where structured competition and early exposure can lead to international representation and podium finishes.
Through its participation in 72 The League, the franchise aims to make golf more accessible, aspirational, and professionally viable for young talent.
